BIG Congratulations to ALL of the Chicago Participants for a Job Well Done!

Students attended Loyola University for masterclasses and participated in Heritage Festival of Chicago. We received gold and silver ratings. Bravo!

On Friday, March 23rd, Tucker Middle School Band attended a masterclass at Loyola University. Due to Dr. Frederick Lowe, Director of Bands at Loyola University being out of town with his winning basketball team, students had an opportunity to work with Dr. Richard Fischer, Director of Bands at Concordia University..

Tucker Middle School Band presented three prepared selections for both masterclass and festival.. They performed March Grandioso arranged by Robert W. Smith, The King’s Court by Ed Huckeby, and Espana Cani arranged by Michael Story.

Worldstrides hosted its Heritage Chicago Festival on Saturday, March 24th at Northside College Preparatory High School and TMS Band received a Silver Rating Award in the Junior High School Band Division!

Aside from performance opportunities, students and chaperones visited and enjoyed various activities such as Dinner Cruise, Museum of Science and Industry, Broadway Show- “On Your Feet”, Art Institute of Chicago, and Dinner and Awards Presentation at Medieval Times.
