Spring Semester Practice Schedule Resumes

After school rehearsal for 7th and 8th grade orchestra will resume on Tuesday January 16th from 4:15-5:15PM.

Rehearsals are in Preparation for the Large Group Performance Evaluations (LGPE), set for Wednesday March 7th at 4:40 pm at Lakeside High School.

ALL TRAVELERS MUST REGISTER ONLINE FOR THE CHICAGO TRIP BY JAN. 17TH!

In order to secure our hotel rooms and create our rooming lists, we must get everyone registered as quickly as possible. Please take a moment to fill out the form online. It should only take about two minutes of your time; but, it is critical to getting our trip plans in order. EVERY TRAVELER must be registered no later than Wednesday, January 17th.

The Georgia Music Educators (GMEA) calendar is the statewide calendar all GA music educators follow throughout the year. This calendar contains important dates for events such as All-State Orchestra, Solo Ensemble Festival, etc, as well as deadlines for submission to these events. Introducing TMS’ New Orchestra Director

Mr. Robert Rieve

Mr. Rieve is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and a former orchestra director in Charlotte, NC and Rock Hill, SC. At USC, Mr. Rieve majored in Music Education and Music Performance. His teachers included Ms. Pam Tellejohn-Hayes (pedagogy), Dr. Donald Portnoy, Thomas Dumm, and Lenny Schranze. Mr. Rieve worked throughout his undergraduate years with the USC String Project, a model for string educators, under the tutelage of Dr. Robert Jesselsohn. From 2001-2011 Mr. Rieve served as a guest orchestra clinician for Cobb county schools. As a professional musician, Mr. Rieve has been a member of the Atlanta Opera Orchestra, the Atlanta Ballet Orchestra, the Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theater Orchestra, and the North Carolina Symphony. Outside of music, Mr. Rieve has worked as an insurance salesman and real estate broker. He currently resides in Atlanta with his wife Charlan and two boys, Rowan and Jacob.
