Open Board Positions for 2017-18 School Year

Please consider donating your time to one of these positions. do it with a friend and form a Committee! Parental involvement is key to the Band’s success. Contact Band Booster VP Rich Benevento at rich@heckyeah for more information. Thanks! 


Hospitality Chairperson/Committee

The Main Duties Include:
• Coordination of the Fall Cookout  (Coincides post-TMS football game, at which the Band plays – Sat., Sept. 9, 2017)
• Coordinate Desserts for the Winter Concert (Donated “potluck style” by parents of band members – Tues., Dec 12, 2017)
• Coordination of the Awards Banquet
(Annual Wrap Up for 7th & 8th Graders – Sat., May 12, 2018)

Attire/Apparel Chairperson/Committee
The Main Duties Include:
• Track Inventory of Apparel in Stock & Order as Needed
• Pick up Apparel from Vendor(s)
• Assist Students with Correctly Sized Apparel
• Sell to Those Who Need New/Replacement Attire
• Keep Track of Cummerbunds & Bow Ties
Fundraising Chairperson/Committee
The Main Duties Include:
• Plan, promote, and execute fundraisers throughout the school year to help students fund their dues and the Spring Trip.
Successful Past Fundraisers Included:
• World’s Finest Chocolate (All year up to Spring Trip)
• Otis Spunkmeyer Cookie Dough (Fall)
• Applebee’s Flapjack Breakfast (February)
This Committee is Encouraged to Explore Alternate or Additional Fundraisers as Needed
6th Grade Parent Representative(s)
Main Duties Includes Coordinating Assistance with Our Youngest Band Students Like:
• Winter, Spring, & Large Group Performance Evaluation Concerts
• Chaperoning the ASO Field Trip on Friday, Dec. 15th
• Help with Attire, Logistics on Picture Day (Jan – TBD)
